Where can I pick peaches now in Southern Oregon?
Summer is finally here, and for the Rogue Valley that means its time to gather up the kids and go pick peaches. The peach season usually begins mid to late July and runs a few weeks depending on the weather.
If you have a toddler or young child you want to take to pick fruit, I think peaches are one of the best crops to try! The trees are low enough for littles to reach up and pick their own fruit. They aren’t quite as fragile as berries. And since peaches are a bigger fruit, they pick so much quicker. And when you’ve got young kids attempting a family activity in the hot Summer weather, lets face it- time is rarely on your side before attitudes are in jeopardy.
U-pick Peach Farm in Central Point Oregon
The Farm Stand LLC in Central Point Oregon has a U-Pick U-Pick Peach Orchard (Formerly called Willow Springs Ranch & Coats Ranch). They are located at 3371 Willow Springs rd, Central Point, OR.
The Farmstand LLC has pick your own peaches. For 2024, peaches are $1.65 per pound. They have Red Havens and Lucky 13s peach varieties. Check their Facebook for the most up-to-date info on picking conditions and dates. They opened this year’s peach picking season on July 17, 2024.
The Farmstand LLC will provide picking containers, but you’ll need to bring your own containers to transfer the u-pick peaches into to take home. The Farm Stand LLC U-Pick Peach Farm takes cash, check, venmo, and cards.
The Farm Stand LLC has other items for sale in their farm stand so be sure to plan a few extra minutes to shop while you’re there. When Peaches are in season, their corn is usually ready too. Be sure to grab extra while you’re there. It is really tasty local corn. Their corn is $10/dozen.
U-pick Peach Farm in Ashland Oregon
Valley View Orchard in Ashland Oregon has a U-Pick Peach Orchard. They are located at 1800 N Valley View Rd Ashland OR.
Valley View Orchard is a certified Organic U-pick Orchard and Farm Store. Valley View Orchard has Red Haven peaches ready to pick. Their u-pick peach season starts July 19, 2024. For 2024, their u-pick peaches are $3.82 per pound. They are only open on select days for picking- dependent on weather and how many peaches they have available. Check their Facebook for the most up-to-date info on picking conditions and dates.
U-Pick Peaches in Talent Oregon
Sugar Plum Acres in Talent Oregon has a U-Pick Peach Orchard. They are located at 1850 Pioneer Rd Talent OR.
They should open up late July or early August for peach picking for the 2024 season. I’ll update when I see details on this season’s info.
Pro-tip go early and bring some water. Its always warmer once you get out and start picking.
