I’ve put together a big list of where to take kids to play outdoors in the Rogue Valley. If you dress the kids for the weather, children can play outside year round in Southern Oregon. We are lucky to have a big variety of outdoor places to go with our kids in the Rogue Valley. And the best part is that most of the spots on my list are free places to take the kids to play outdoors.

The Rogue X Aquatic Center in Medford, Oregon has a splash pad outside their indoor pool area. The Rogue X splash pad requires paid admission to their facility to use. Check their website for the current rates.

In the hub of downtown sits Lithia Park, Ashland's crown jewel. Lithia is a 100-acre vista of emerald lawns, pickleball courts, a sand-pit volleyball court, the Swim Reservoir at the south end of the park, picnic areas, colorful landscaping, and a playground.

Rogue Valley Family Fun Center in Central Point Oregon has two mini golf courses, a go kart track, bumper boats, and batting cages. They also have a large indoor arcade and toddler play structure.
The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon in Medford Oregon- their large outdoor adventure area opened in 2023. Sandy beach area, river made to play in, trike track, musical instruments, play structures, and flower sculpture garden. Admission includes access to the indoor children’s museum and clay studio.
It’s a Process Atelier kids art studio in Jacksonville Oregon- their outdoor play area has several art stations for painting and drawing as well as a large play structure. Admission includes access to the indoor children’s art studio.
