A celebratory kick off to a season of holiday cheer in Grants Pass. Downtown Tree Lighting at the Holiday Plaza, Corner of 5th and G Street. Local businesses will be offering hot chocolate and other treats.

Here is the tentative music schedule for the tree-lighting ceremony:

• 4:45 pm to 5:10 pm–Hidden Valley High School choir

• 5:15 pm to 5:50 pm–Gabe Moddison Trio

• 6 pm to 6:40 pm–Mrs. Claus plays music

• 6:40 to 7 pm–the Middle Rogue

• 7 pm–Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive / Tree Lighting

Once Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive, Mayor Bristol will give a few brief remarks and introduce Santa and Mrs. Claus, the lights will go on, and then Santa and Mrs. Claus will play two songs for the crowd before the cheer squad from Grants Pass High School escorts them to the Downtown Welcome Center to visit with children until 9 pm.
