Historic Jacksonville Haunted History Tours

These tours are not your typical ‘ghost tours’ with special effects.   They are history tours about real hauntings resulting from past events.  The stories—some scary, some benign—come from multiple sources, from people who have experienced these lingering spirits.  They are our attempt to recognize and honor these restless souls.

Two completely different 1-hour tours are offered, and both tours include lots of haunted houses! The CourthouseTour highlights tales of brothels, epidemics and hangings. The Britt HillTour features stories of murder, arson, saloons, and Oregon’s first Chinatown. Tours are offered the second Friday of each month from June through September with special October tours on both Friday and Saturday.

October tours begin at 6, 6:15, 6:30, and 6:45 p.m.

Jacksonville Haunted Trolley

wooden shutters of Jacksonville’s historic homes?

Come find out on the Haunted Trolley....

The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce’s Haunted Trolley tour is about 25 minute long with a light-hearted approach to local “hauntings”. The tour features multiple sites with special effects and period character interpreters.

Although we try to stay away from gory stuff, parents are asked to exercise their own judgment regarding a child’s participation in regards to tales of death and dismemberment.
