Fall Bucket List

13 Must Do Activities with Kids

I’ve pulled together the best activities to do in southern Oregon with your children this fall! Put on your sweaters and grab your PSL. It’s time to enjoy this gorgeous weather and make some family memories (and maybe some new traditions).

  • Visit Bigham Farms and explore their corn maze. They hide tiny glass pumpkins in the corn each day, and the first people to find them can trade them for prizes. They’ve got a lot of other activities along with a pumpkin patch.

  • Drive monster trucks at KLZ Farms! Kids can ride monster trucks around their course. Explore their other activities and pick up a pumpkin while you’re there.

  • Take a hayride around Pheasant Fields Farm. Their pumpkin patch is surrounded by flowers on one side and mountains on the other so it makes for some gorgeous scenery. They have tons of activities going on so plan plenty of time to enjoy the farm.

  • Pick out a pumpkin from Fort Vannoy Farms. They have an enormous field to walk through, and too many activities to name. Plan to spend some time and let the kids make a day of it.

  • Once the leaves change color, Lithia Park is the best place to take in Fall’s beauty. Let the kids play in the freshly fallen leaves and grab some photos of the lower duck pond. There are walking trails and a nice playground with midday shade to enjoy.

  • Take the family to grab some pumpkin donuts at Pucks Donuts in Phoenix. Pucks reopened earlier this year after completely rebuilding from the Almeda fire. It’s such a wonderful story of resilience, and don’t forget to get a family photo in front of their giant pink donut box out front.

  • Attend the Art Along the Rogue Festival for a weekend of incredible street muralists and live entertainment. Kids can even create chalk art for free!

  • Build a Scarecrow and enter it into the competition at the 13th Annual Scarecrow Festival at SOHS Hanley Farm.

  • Check out the kid friendly Halloween attraction at Spookaboo Dino Adventure. Its a Halloween walkthrough designed with families in mind and you’ll be met with friendly characters and candy.

  • Drive up to Prescott Park and hike ~1mi stroller friendly trail to take in one of the best views of the valley.

  • Go bounce at 541 Jump’s Pumpkin Festival. One wrist band gets you into all 12 bounce houses, and they’ll have other activities and games for the whole family.

  • Go on a driving tour of Halloween decorated homes. I’ve put together a map to get you started.

  • Take the littles to Liam’s Trunk or Treat in Central Point.
