2024 Fall Bucket List

13 Must Do Activities with Kids

I’ve pulled together the best activities to do in Southern Oregon with your children this fall! Put on your sweaters and grab your PSL. It’s time to enjoy this gorgeous weather and make some family memories (and maybe some new traditions).

2024 Fall Bucket List: 13 Must Do Activities with Kids in Southern Oregon

  • Visit Pheasant Fields Farm in Medford Oregon and explore their corn maze. They’ve got a lot of other activities along with a pumpkin patch.

  • Pick out a pumpkin from Fort Vannoy Farms in Grants Pass Oregon. They have an enormous field to walk through, and too many activities to name. Plan to spend some time and let the kids make a day of it.

  • Once the leaves begin to change color, head over to the Ashland Japanese Garden in Ashland Oregon for a spectacular experience. Its a smaller garden with lots of water features winding throughout. Perfect for an easy Autumn stroll. Lithia Park is nearby- be sure to continue your stroll there for more leaf peeping fun.

  • Take the family to grab some pumpkin donuts at Pucks Donuts in Phoenix Oregon. Pucks reopened last year after completely rebuilding from the Almeda fire. It’s such a wonderful story of resilience, and don’t forget to get a family photo in front of their giant pink donut box out front.

  • Walk ‘n Roll Parade of Superheroes in Central Point Oregon. Dress as your favorite superhero and come down to Twin Creeks Park to walk, ride your scooter, bike, wheelchair or wagon in support of the Asante’s Pediatric Infusions Department!

Before the event registration is $20 per family and at the event registration will be $25 per family! 100% of ALL PROCEEDS will be going to Asante Pediatric Infusions!

  • Attend the Art Along the Rogue Festival in Grants Pass Oregon for a weekend of incredible street muralists and live entertainment. Kids can even create chalk art for free!

  • Build a Scarecrow and enter it into the competition at the 13th Annual Scarecrow Festival at SOHS Hanley Farm in Central Point Oregon.

  • Go enjoy the live music, performances, and kid friendly fun at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration in Central Point, Oregon.

  • Drive up to Prescott Park in Medford Oregon, and hike ~1mi stroller friendly trail to take in one of the best views of the valley.

  • Go on a driving tour of Halloween decorated homes in Southern Oregon. I’ve put together a map to get you started.

  • Take a hayride around Bigham Farms in Central Point Oregon. You’ll have a great view of both Table Rock and Mt. McLoughlin while you travel through their corn field and pumpkin patch. They have tons of activities going on so plan plenty of time to enjoy the farm.

  • Take the littles to Liam’s Trunk or Treat in Central Point Oregon. To honor the vibrant spirit of little Liam, a spirited 2-year-old whose memory continues to bring joy, his family sought a meaningful way to celebrate his life. They envisioned spreading his infectious smile to children in our community this Halloween. Thus, Liam’s Trunk or Treat was born—a free, family-friendly event designed to bring delight to local kids.

  • Brave the Gold Hill haunted house in Gold Hill Oregon. This haunted house is kid-friendly and offers a NO SCARE option for kids who aren’t ready for the scarier stuff but still want to enjoy Halloween fun. Just let them know when you arrive.
